This trip is the perfect mix diverse snorkeling while circumnavigating St John including a snorkel stop in the mangroves in Hurricane National Monument within the National Park.
Snorkel in the mangroves, and see schools of juvenile snappers, barracuda, starfish, colorful sea anemones, turtles and more. Tucked among the roots and shade of the red mangrove trees is a stunning and colorful array of corals, sponges, anemones, and fish. The communities are remarkably diverse, rich in texture, color, and number of species. The diversity of corals may be unique among mangroves of the Caribbean.
Sadie Sea is one of only 6 boats permitted to visit this unique spot and is the only boat that can take more than 6 passengers into the National Monument.
The trip leaves at 9:00 in the morning from the National Parks Visitor Center dock in Cruz Bay promising at least four unique snorkel stops in St Johns unspoiled waters with a stop for lunch. You can bring your own lunch, or have lunch provided for an additional cost. Sadie Sea also can have coolers and ice for any beverages you would like to bring along. This full trip takes you to snorkel stops at some of St. John’s surrounding bays and islands that have not been spoiled by constant visitors and cannot be reached by vehicles – you will see the marine life that normally can’t be seen while snorkeling from the beach. The trip concludes in Cruz Bay around 3:00 pm.
